“Bring it Home!” is often used as an exhortation to a band of musicians, a call to return all-together to an old theme with new intensity, or to gather disparate voices into one final unified statement. “Bring it Home” has an underlying connotation of getting down to the existential nitty-gritty of grooving hard and emoting unabashedly. To us, the “Bring it Home” series is all about this and more, and a metaphor that works on several levels. We’ll be celebrating “Home” as an emotional landscape, by featuring some of our favorite musicians, and challenging them to present music with deep resonance to their own lives and circumstances. Each concert will be a unique one-time experience of story and song. (Of course we’ll also be literally “Bringing it Home”- to our living room in West Hartford CT!)
